About the area

Triple Creek Park, at 1333 Touchdown Drive with its entrance off East Broadway, is Gallatin's largest park, with sports complexes, dog parks, walking trails and playgrounds. A walking track runs from the Gallatin Civic Center through the park and links to the Town Creek Greenway, which loops under East Broadway and follows Town Creek toward Woodson Terrace and downtown.

The Town Creek flood project

The park is also where the City of Gallatin and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers chose to build a stormwater berm with a box culvert. The two first agreed on an earthen detention structure here in 2019, and construction was expected to start in the first half of 2026. The berm is designed to store stormwater temporarily during peak rainfall so Town Creek does less damage downstream. The City's engineer has said the goal is to plan for flooding in the places where it causes the least harm.

Flood cleanup near Town Creek

Creek water is Category 3. We pump out, remove porous materials it reached, clean and treat the framing and floors, and dry with dehumidifiers until readings are normal. Homeowners near the creek should check their address on the FEMA Flood Map Service Center and talk to their agent about flood insurance, which a standard homeowners policy does not include.

FAQ

Water damage restoration near Triple Creek Park: FAQs

Question not covered here? Call and ask. The phone is answered live day and night.

Will the Triple Creek Park berm stop flooding near me?

It is designed to reduce flooding downstream by holding back peak flows, but no structure removes the risk entirely. Keep your flood plan and coverage up to date.

Does water damage restoration near Triple Creek Park cover crawl spaces?

Yes. We pump out the space, remove wet insulation and debris, and dry the joists and subfloor.

Who do I call about the creek or storm drains?

Drainage, ditches and culverts on public property are handled by the City. Water damage inside your home is what we handle.
